Last Year’s Bursary Winners

July 20, 2015

Last year’s Sedgemoor Business Excellence Award Bursary winners were Eclectic Lemon. They are a new music and live events agency run by three professional apprentices. Created and managed by Robyn Taylor-Stavely, Arthur Dickson-Bell and Joe Cross, they aim to provide opportunities and a platform for young musical talent across the South West.

Working alongside Bridgwater Arts Centre and many other partners, the team provide a range of engaging events showcasing a variety of artists and musical genres. Working with acts across different mediums, from live performance to online promotion and professional videos, Eclectic Lemon empower artists to network and take their music further than ever before.

They have kindly given us some details of how the bursary they won has benefitted their business and helped them continue to grow and develop –

“We have had an Eclectic Lemon Promotion banner made to take to our festival stages/other venues we program in the South West for promotion

It has been used as a Budget towards our stage at Bridgwater’s Big Bash – Giving our local artist’s exposure to play to an audience of potentially 2000 people across the day.

Promotional Eclectic Lemon T-shirts.

It has also gone towards costs of our first series of Eclectic Sessions – Providing artists with a free music video to send to agents and use to promote themselves. First two videos published online please click here – 4 more to follow.

We still have money left to put towards a new Project in Bristol to provide another platform for young artists to perform and promote themselves.”

Clearly the bursary has gone to great use and has helped with many things! We are thrilled that Eclectic Lemon’s success has continued and that they still have some money left to spend!
