Douglas Cordeaux, attended Haygrove School in Bridgwater, and then went on to Somerset College of Arts and Technology, progressing on to Chelsea School Of Art in the 1980s.

His Fashion and Textiles career is very impressive. He started at Pepe Jeans as a Textile Designer after graduating from Chelsea School Of Art. He then formed partnership business Washbox design Studio. As well as this business he became a design consultant. He was consultant for many well-known and important International brands such as Berghaus, Spiewak, Tommy Hilfiger, The GAP, Etros, and Ralph Lauren.

Douglas’ success with these companies enabled him to open Cordeaux Design Studio, Textile and Fashion Consultancy. A London based one stop design service, the studio designs full fashion concepts specializing in Denim Washing and Jeanswear Design. His clients include, Pepe Jeans, Replay, Calvin Klein, Hackett, Jack Wills and Ben Sherman.

Currently, Douglas co owns Fox Brothers of Wellington. “In 2009 Deborah Meaden, the successful business woman best known for her appearances on the BBC program ‘Dragons’ Den’, together with her long standing friend and textiles expert Douglas Cordeaux, took ownership of the business. They bring with them modern business skills, expert textile knowledge and a passion to protect Fox’s treasured heritage. Under their stewardship, the company remains committed to supplying the very finest woolen fabric, entirely made in England, to the world’s most discerning clients”.

The company is very proud that its product are made in Britain and as “A passionate advocate and champion of products that are genuinely ‘Made in England’, Douglas happens to be the descendent of a Huguenot family of silk weavers who operated from Spitalfields Market in London”.
